III Edition
Since its establishment, the Cultural Association 'Maxima Entropia' has distinguished itself for its unstoppable desire to disseminate musical, artistic, and cultural knowledge in general to places usually distant from such programming, and for its particular focus on excellence in youth education. In this regard, it conceived the International Summer Campus'Ambient'Azioni Musicali' - now a reference point in the landscape of summer courses - receiving praise and feedback from numerous countries in Europe and around the world.
Drawing on this experience, we have decided to turn a more attentive eye to the world of children and adolescents who wish to deepen their musical knowledge, offering them a secure guide by creating a campus tailored to them: thus, Ambient’Azioni Musicali… Junior is born!
Participants will experience an intense week of study and fun in a stimulating environment that includes a packed daily schedule of instrument lessons, choir and orchestra sessions, concerts, itinerant musical flash mobs, as well as excursions to discover the wonders of Abruzzo, moments of leisure, and sharing.
Youngsters will have the opportunity to meet peers with whom to share their passion and express themselves through their creativity. An occasion for growth and development that will undoubtedly transform into a life experience.
Claudia Scatena, Artistic Director
Upon registration, all students will be provided with a schedule of Campus activities, which will outline organized events for each day. The course will include both individual lessons and collective workshops such as choral and orchestra, as well as collaborations with other instruments to create small chamber ensembles. Daily performances will also be arranged in the form of flashmobs and public concerts in which every member will participate, culminating in a grand final concert on July 5, 2026. In addition to these activities, excursions in the local area and leisure moments will be part of the experience. Each student will receive a certificate of participation.
Through daily lessons, our goal is to help students develop such confidence with their instrument that practicing becomes a natural process, as an integral part of their routine.Specific attention will be given to instrumental technique and analysis of the compositional structure of the pieces on the program, laying a solid foundation for a concrete personal interpretation. Collective choir and orchestra lessons are an integral part to the educational process and will focus on development ensemble listening skills as well as the growth of a well-defined musical awareness, fostering a more engaging and effective learning process through socialization. All lessons are open to the public and will be held on 'A.B.Sabin' middle school in Capistrello.

In addition to participation in group lessons and various events throughout the week, it will be possible, and strongly recommended for students, to attend classes on all instruments for free. It will also be given the opportunity for the most interested students to form small chamber groups

All enrolled instrument course participants will also take part in the orchestra workshop with daily group lessons led by all Campus teachers. This course pursues numerous objectives, including fostering a more solid and rapid learning experience, emphasizing socialization and sharing, as well as developing a more attentive ear to ensemble playing, intonation, and rhythm, while increasing concentration and listening skills. Throughout the course, participants will work on specially arranged pieces.

The choir workshop is not only aimed at enrolled students but also at children and teenagers who enjoy singing and wish to explore music. The benefits of singing, especially in a choir, are countless: it promotes health and well-being, improves mood, fosters cohesion even among strangers, and allows individuals to express their emotions. In a choir, one must work diligently and consistently to refine intonation, phrasing, and rhythm; coordinate breathing, body movement, and reading; find the tone that allows the choir to become a "single voice" by patiently and attentively listening to each individual's nuances; overcome personal anxieties and difficulties; support one another to sustain the entire piece; concentrate and believe in oneself to master polyphony and so on. The importance of such work is a significant enrichment, both as a personal experience and as a prelude to studying any musical instrument. During the Campus week, the choir workshop, directed by Claudia Scatena, will offer daily group lessons aimed at providing an initial introduction to the vocal world.
